Nominate for the Accessibility Reference Group

Nominations are open for Council's Accessibility Reference Group.

The Accessibility Reference Group aims to bring together a passionate group of people able to help the Council identify and respond to new and emerging issues that affect the broad community in regards to access and inclusion for people of all ages and abilities. 

The Reference Group will input into the implementation and review of the Rural City of Wangaratta Community Access and Inclusion Action Plan 2018 - 2020; raise issues and concerns around accessibility on behalf of the community and act as a valuable resource to the Council by providing feedback on policy, planning and programs through an access and inclusion lens.

Members of the Accessibility Reference Group will ideally live or work in the Wangaratta municipality; have experience of disability, the disability sector or the carer role; be part of established networks and groups in the community and be able to regularly attend and participate in meetings on a monthly basis over a two year term.
