First Peoples' COVID-19 Business Support Fund - Extension  This provides additional support to eligible Aboriginal businesses that have been affected by trading restrictions introduced to slow the spread of COVID-19.  Businesses must be a certified Victorian Aboriginal business through Kinaway Chamber of Commerce. Grant of $6000  7 December 2021 
Agriculture Resilience and Recovery Program 

This program is designed to support farm and food processing businesses to develop long-term solutions to recover from the impacts of COVID-19.

Grants are available to provide on-farm infrastructure, business upgrades or new facilities, as well as accommodation and support services for the agricultural workforce to adapt to changing environments and meet COVIDSafe standards.   
Between $10,000 and $30,000    31 December 2021 or until the funds are expended – whichever comes first  
Commercial Landlord Hardship Fund 3 This fund provides grants to eligible small landlords who experience hardship as a result of waiving rent for their tenant(s) between 28 July 2021 and 15 January 2022 under the Commercial Tenancy Relief Scheme.

A rent waiver is where some or all of the rent owed for an agreed period of time does not have to be paid.

SME Recovery Loan Scheme

This scheme provides eligible small and medium enterprises (SMEs) access to loans.

The Scheme is designed to provide continued assistance to small and medium enterprises that are dealing with the economic impacts of COVID-19.

Commercial Tenancy Relief Scheme

This has been reintroduced by the Victorian Government to alleviate the financial hardship faced by tenants and landlords as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Scheme will be available to businesses with an annual turnover of less than $50 million that have suffered a decline in turnover of at least 30% due to COVID-19.

The Scheme is broadly based on the previous Commercial Tenancy Relief Scheme that was introduced in 2020, with the objective of supporting tenants and landlords to negotiate in good faith to reach an agreement on rent relief in a timely manner.

Investment Fast-Track Fund  This will focus on funding activities that will mobilise strategic investment projects through fast-track of business case development and planning for medium to longer term projects in regions, and increase the pipeline of investment ready projects, with a focus on leveraging private investment, boosting employment and improving the liveability of rural and regional Victoria.  Up to $500,000 30 June 2022

Future Industries

The Victorian Government has identified six priority sectors that have potential for extraordinary economic growth and the capacity to create high-skill, high wage jobs: Victoria's Future Industries.

These include medical technologies and pharmaceuticals, new energy technologies, food and fibre, transport technologies, defence technologies, construction technologies, international education, professional services.

A number of grant programs will support job-creating projects, helping to secure Victoria's future as a competitive, innovative and outward looking economy.

Small Business Energy Saver Program
This program is supporting Victorian small business owners to save on energy efficient equipment. It will deliver $5 million in discounts to small businesses across Victoria who upgrade to energy-efficient equipment.

Regional Jobs Fund The fund provides Victorian Government financial assistance primarily to businesses seeking to develop and expand operations in regional Victoria.
The aim of the Regional Jobs Fund is to attract new investment, create new jobs, and in some cases retain existing jobs  in regional Victoria and to support businesses to improve their productivity and competitiveness.

COVIDSafe Deep Cleaning Rebate

This rebate is available for small and medium-sized businesses, where anyone suspected or confirmed to have coronavirus (COVID-19) has been on the premises or worksite when they may have been infectious.

The rebate will help eligible businesses cover the cost of hiring professional cleaning services to conduct a ‘deep clean’ or ‘decontamination clean’ of their premises or worksite. This will help businesses prevent further transmission of coronavirus (COVID-19), and reduce their out-of-pocket cleaning expenses. 

Up to 80 per cent of the cleaning costs at each worksite, capped at $10,000 (for a total cleaning cost of $12,500).   Ongoing
Business Recovery and Resilience Program

The Victorian Government is partnering with the Victorian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) to deliver a business mentoring program to help small businesses navigate the economic challenges posed by restrictions to help slow the spread of COVID-19.

Through this program, eligible business owners can receive up to four 2-hour mentoring sessions with an experienced professional who will help them make informed decisions about the future of their business.
