Targoora Park Lighting Upgrade
Wangaratta Rangers Baseball Softball Club have been successful in obtaining joint financial support to fund an upgrade to the lighting on Diamond 1 at Targoora Park.
Project Overview:
- Upgrading lighting on Diamond 1 at Targoora Park
- Installation of new poles and LED lights
- Lights will meet baseball/softball competition standards
- Enhances safety, visibility, and supports growing female participation
Community Impact:
- Increased safe playing hours at the facility
- Allow for the female membership at Targoora Park Baseball and Softball Club to continue to grow
Timeline:
- Works commence: October 2025
- Completion expected: August 2027
Funding:
This project has received a grant of $352,200 from the Regional Community Sports Infrastructure Fund. Council is contributing $120,000 and the Wangaratta Rangers Baseball Softball Club is contributing $20,000.
