Targoora Park Lighting Upgrade

Websters Electrical & Lighting have been engaged by Rural City of Wangaratta to upgrade the lighting on Diamond 1 at Targoora Park, installing new poles and LED lights compliant with baseball/softball competition standards. This will improve safety and visibility, and will address the growing demand for female participation of women and girls in baseball and softball.

Project Overview:

• Upgrading lighting on Diamond 1 at Targoora Park
• Installation of new poles and LED lights
• Lights will meet baseball/softball competition standards
• Enhances safety, visibility, and supports growing female participation

Community Impact:

• Increased safe playing hours at the facility
• Allow for the female membership at Targoora Park Baseball and Softball Club to continue to grow

Timeline: 

• Works commence: October 2025
• Completion expected: August 2027

Funding:

Wangaratta Rangers Baseball Softball Club were successful in obtaining joint financial support to fund this upgrade to the lighting on Diamond 1 at Targoora Park.

This project has received a grant of $352,200 from the Regional Community Sports Infrastructure Fund. Council is contributing $120,000 and the Wangaratta Rangers Baseball Softball Club is contributing $20,000.
