Emerging Needs Fund

NEMA Peru dinner

The Emerging Needs Fund is a small, flexible pool of funding used by the Grit & Resilience Consortium to support practical local ideas that help people connect, feel included and support one another.

The fund is designed to respond to gaps in social connection, particularly for communities, places or groups that may be experiencing disadvantage or missing out on opportunities to participate. With delegated authority to assess and determine local investments, the Consortium can respond quickly and fairly to emerging community needs.

By supporting simple, community-led solutions, the Emerging Needs Fund helps strengthen belonging, wellbeing and resilience across the Rural City of Wangaratta.

The Grit and Resilience Program proudly supports the following Emerging Needs recipients;

The Grid - Ronan Holdsworth Gallery

THE GRID is a high-octane, community-funded public art installation operating as a live, collaborative design studio. Under the direction of professional muralist Ronan Holdsworth, a crew of local youth aged 14–25 will take over a 3 x15 meter urban canvas in the heart of Wangaratta.
