Community groups, clubs, and local organisations across the Rural City of Wangaratta are invited to host events in this year’s Wangaratta Seniors Festival, taking place throughout October 2026

This is a time for our community to come together to honour and recognise the invaluable contributions of older people, while creating opportunities for joy, connection and learning. By taking part you are welcoming new people in to your group or club to experience the enjoyment that you get.

The Wangaratta Seniors Festival offers a diverse program of free and low-cost events that are inclusive, accessible, and welcoming to all older community members. Whether you’re based in town or in one of our rural communities, your event can help bring the celebration to life across the region.

Local groups can get involved by hosting an event that celebrates the senior members of our community. From art exhibitions and music performances to cultural gatherings, morning teas, or fitness classes - the festival invites seniors to embrace curiosity, discover new interests, connect with others, and redefine what it means to age with vitality and purpose.

Expressions of Interest are open until 30 June 2026.

Events should aim to:
