Sport and Recreation

This page provides information on local sport and recreation clubs, Council-managed ovals and sportsgrounds.

Book Venue 

Council-managed sports grounds and facilities can be booked online using the above link, or by contacting the Community and Recreation team at recreation@wangaratta.vic.gov.au 

 

Things to note for Sports Ground bookings:

  • Clubs booking a seasonal agreement will have a priority over casual users.
  • Any pre-season training needs are to be submitted separately to your regular seasonal application.
  • Prior to commencement of use, clubs must provide us with a signed Seasonal Agreement detailing the agreed use.
  • Clubs who use a sportsground without booking may incur a fine.
  • We will work with Clubs to schedule sportsground maintenance.

Season dates:

Winter: 1 April - 30 September.

Summer: 1 October - 31 March.
