The Rural City of Wangaratta is a diverse and vibrant community, and the Grit and Resilience Program helps strengthen social connections and inclusion for everyone.
We work with people of all ages and backgrounds, including those with lived experience, Aboriginal communities, LGBTIQ+ individuals, people with disabilities, and culturally diverse groups, to promote mental health and wellbeing through inclusive activities.
Funded by the Victorian Government’s Social Inclusion Action Group (SIAG), the program was recommended by the Royal Commission into Victoria’s Mental Health System. It builds on earlier work supported by the Primary Health Network, with a renewed focus on connection and inclusion.
Throughout the year, we support workshops and events that bring people together. If you’d like to get involved, we’d love to hear from you, reach out to the Grit and Resilience Program team.
