With the opening of the new Beaconsfield Parade bridge in Glenrowan, Siege Street has become a permanent ‘no through road’. Works continue to complete the construction of the local roads and connecting footpaths around the works area. Pedestrians can use the new bridge shared user path and temporary pedestrian pathway along Siege Street.
Green Street bridge will close from 8 January 2024 for approximately12 months until Inland Rail works are safely completed.
North East Water has advised of some essential sewer infrastructure works taking place in Wangaratta.
Construction of a footpath at Mansfield-Whitfield Road will commence on 20 August 2024. Traffic Management and speed reduction signage will be in place during the construction. Minor traffic delays are expected.
Twamley’s Lane, Greta will be closed from 7.30am on 9 September 2024 for culvert replacement works. Works are due to be completed by 23 September 2024. Safety measures including full traffic control will be in place while the works are being undertaken.No through traffic will be permitted during the closure dates.
Emergency repairs will be undertaken on the corner of Sisley Avenue & Phillipson Street tomorrow Friday 23 August 2024. Works will commence between 7.30am and 8am and will be completed by 12.00pmDuring this time traffic management will be in place with speed reduction and lane closure in place on the inward bound lane.
Cooks Earthmoving are undertaking upgrade works to the Parfitt Road Levee along the Murray to Mountains Rail Trail from the Trail Head to the Bowser Road intersection.
