Apply for a Land Information Certificate (LIC)

If you are selling a property, you will need a Land Information Certificates (LIC). This Certificate provides information regarding:

  • the property value
  • the amount of rates charged 
  • outstanding rates, charges and other moneys owing including interest due

Anyone can apply for a LIC although it is usually your solicitor or conveyancer who does it for you. The certificate is valid for 3 months from the date of issue.

Please note: As part of your submission, you will need to upload a copy of the locality plan (title of sketch) showing dimensions of property and distance from nearest street intersection.
