At the Council meeting on 31 October 2023 the following was endorsed:
That Council:
- Endorses the Draft Gambling Policy 2023 including the Draft Gambling Action Plan for public exhibition for 28 days from 02 November 2023 (extended to January 31, 2024 at the November 28 Council Meeting)
- Reviews and considers all submissions and any amendments made to the Gambling Policy 2023 at a future Scheduled Council Meeting
- If no submissions requiring changes to the Gambling Policy 2023 are received, adopts without further resolution of Council.
Where do I view the draft plan?
A copy of the draft plan can be downloaded via the link in the 'Related Information' on the right hand side of this webpage.
Copies of documents on public exhibition can also be obtained from the Wangaratta Government Centre.
How do I make my written submission?
Any person affected by the proposals may make a written submission relating to the documents. Submissions will be received up to 5.00pm on 31 January 2024.
In their written submission, a person may also request to be heard by a Committee of Council in support of their submission, prior to Council considering the proposal. Submitters will be notified before the relevant meeting date.
