I grew up in a small rural community to a farming family in NSW.  Drought and hard times are something I am familiar with.

My work experiences are broad and have empowered me to strive to always do my best. I worked in the harsh environment of Western Australia’s mines, became a business owner importing Native American artifacts and jewellery, a nanny in WA, worked in a landscape gardening business in QLD, and held a variety of other jobs that provided opportunities and experience which shaped my work ethic and beliefs.

Since moving to Wangaratta in 2009, I studied and became a Youth Support worker for a local non-profit organisation, helping vulnerable youth and their families in our community. I also took the opportunity to complete my diploma in Mental Health.

I Co-Founded a campaign called “#ENOUGHISENOUGH” in 2016. I have spent years strongly advocating and lobbying, both government and opposition minsters, for reforms to our Parole, Bail and Justice systems.

In 2018 I was elected as a Member of Parliament representing the Northern Victorian region, a role that has been one of my greatest achievements.

All these opportunities have reinforced my interest in working with and for my community, supporting people to live their best lives and encouraging community to be proactive and involved in decision making that impacts their lives.
