Cloth Nappies

With modern designs available and the rising cost of living, more families are deciding to use reusable nappies.

You can save money and reduce waste by using cloth nappies. Even using a combination of reusable and disposable items can have a positive impact.

An astonishing 3.75 million disposable nappies are used each day in Australia and New Zealand. Each nappy requires one cup of crude oil to manufacture and the nappy is estimated to take 150 years to break down.

Every child will need their nappy changed at least 6500 times in their life. Disposable nappies cost parents and carers up to $2700 more than reusable nappies and generate up to 20 full wheelie bins of waste that end up in landfill where they'll take hundreds of years to break down.

Cloth nappies do require energy, water and detergent to clean but overall they are a far more environmentally option than using disposable nappies if they are line dried.
