NOTICE OF INTENTION TO LEASE LAND

The Rural City of Wangaratta (Council) gives notice under section 115 of the Local Government Act 2020 (the Act) of its intention to enter into an agreement for lease with Indigo Power Ltd (ABN 67 629 865 452) for the purpose of installing and maintaining a community battery and solar PV car-port infrastructure at the Wangaratta Showgrounds, 2-12 Evans Street, Wangaratta. Council proposes to enter into a lease agreement for a period of 10 years. The total land to be leased is 460m2. 

The community battery and solar PV infrastructure will provide back-up power in the event of a major grid failure. 

Written submissions on the above are accepted up to 4pm on Monday, 5 January 2026.
