Summer in The Parks Program Announced

Get ready for a summer of non-stop fun and entertainment with our jam-packed Summer in The Parks Program for 2023. We have a fantastic line-up of free or low-cost events that are sure to keep everyone entertained all summer long.

The December festivities kick off with the Lighting of the Christmas Tree on Friday 01 Dec at Riverside Square - but that's just the beginning! Throughout the season, we have a variety of cool community events in store for you:

  • Regfest: Country music fans get your cowboy boots ready!
  • Big Brothers Big Sisters Aquathon: Dive into the summer spirit with this exciting aquatic & running event.
  • Come & Try Croquet: Try your hand at the classic lawn game and discover your hidden talent.
  • Dogs Day Out: A day dedicated to our furry friends.
  • Our very own FABULOUS New Year's Eve Celebration at the Showgrounds. We promise a night of music, food, wine and two rounds of fireworks to welcome the year ahead.

January promises even more excitement with events such as:

  • Rubber Duck Regatta: A quirky and delightful race of rubber ducks that's sure to be a hit with all ages.
  • Pots, Parmi's & Pooches at the Vine Hotel: A delightful combination of great food, drinks, and the company of adorable dogs.
  • Australia Day Events: Join us for a range of activities and celebrations in and around our Local Government Area, in honour of Australia Day.

February has a line-up that will keep the good times rolling:

  • Body Balance in King George Garden: Find your inner Zen with a rejuvenating work out.
  • Pride Fair Day: Celebrate diversity, inclusion, and the spirit of the LGBTQ+ community at this vibrant event.
  • Outdoor Ball - THE Place to Be: Join us for a night of Latin-themed fun, food, and frivolity at the infamous Outdoor Ball. It's the social event of the season!
