If you are interested in tales of adventure, adversity, unexpected journeys of resilience and self-discovery, the Wangaratta Library has the perfect event for you.

Sally Warriner, self-proclaimed country woman, mother, nurse, traveller, inquisitor, lover of life, and now author, will speak on her recently published memoir, Not just the Wife of a General Manager.

Warriner’s story is of life on outback cattle stations, and an homage to the many unsung women like her.

After marrying a cattle station manager, Warriner lived and worked with him for nearly 25 years. She tells a very Australian story of how she was so much more than just the wife of a station manager; among other things, she was a mother, a travel agent, a social secretary, a host, and an organiser.

Please join Sally Warriner at the Wangaratta Library at 6.30pm on Friday 14 October as she shares her story of unexpected challenging, eye-opening and fulfilling, experiences.

Bookings are essential and can be made by contacting the library on 03 5721 2366 or library@wangaratta.vic.gov.au.
