Wangaratta Launches Hello Summer Program for 2025/26
Published on 25 November 2025
The Rural City of Wangaratta has launched the Hello Summer 2025/26 digital program of events. This year’s program features a diverse mix of community-hosted and council-led activities, providing a comprehensive guide to summer experiences across the region.
From woodchopping competitions and the iconic Rubber Duck Regatta to art exhibitions to a free pool party - the program offers a wide range of free and affordable events designed for all ages.
Popular community events such as Carols by Candlelight, Community Drumming Classes, Yoga in the Park, and Christmas Markets will lead into the highly anticipated New Year’s Eve event, featuring Indigenous Outreach Projects, Fanny Lumsden, local talent RIFF, and Melbourne Ska Orchestra.
January activities include the return of Wangaratta Sports & Aquatic Centre’s Bush Nipper Program, and the National Gallery of Victoria Kids on Tour workshops at Wangaratta Art Gallery. Australia Day events across the municipality will provide opportunities for reflection and community connection.
February brings an introduction to karate at Wangaratta Traditional Karate Do, Boga Yoga sessions to cool down on summer evenings, and the Outdoor Ball—a Latin-themed night of music and dancing for all ages.
Cr Irene Grant, Mayor of the Rural City of Wangaratta: “This program is your key to connection, celebration, and supporting local organisations and businesses. I encourage you to get out and enjoy everything our community has to offer this summer.”
