How to get involved

The Heartbeat Framework

The Heartbeat Framework was presented to the community in November 2020. It is the Framework for how the Grit and Resilience Program will support the community to deliver activities that aim to improve community connection and inclusion, and to strengthen community support for positive mental health and wellbeing.

Under the Heartbeat Framework, the Grit and Resilience team will be connecting with the community every three months to talk about what’s happening with the program activities and how to get involved.

The first Heartbeat is now underway. This is your chance to look at the Action Plans for the three priority areas chosen by the community:

  • Creating Connections
  • Including and Involving
  • Postvention

View the Action Plans below.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by for a cuppa and chat during our Heart Week Cuppa and Chat visits from 12 to 16 July. We had some amazing conversations with community members about how to build grit and resilience in our community and the activities people want to get involved in.

Following cancellation due to lockdown, we have now rescheduled our Cuppa and Chat visits to Tarrawingee and Springhurst to Thursday 5 August, details are available below.

In the meantime, please reach out to the Grit and Resilience team at gritandresilience@wangaratta.vic.gov.au if you have any questions about the activities – we would love to hear from you!
