2022 Wangaratta T20 World Cup Preparation Tournament

Don't miss this exciting display of international cricket in the lead up to the T20 World Cup this October!

The Namibian and Scottish International cricket teams will join the Melbourne Stars and Melbourne Renegades academy teams in three days of strong competition at the Barr Reserve Sporting Precinct.

The Rural City of Wangaratta is proud to present this free event for our local and regional community to attend. Spectators will have the chance to watch a game and see two of the teams playing in the world cup later in October.  

Wednesday 5 October 

• 10am Scotland vs Melbourne Renegades Academy
• 2pm Richelieu Eagles (Namibia) vs Melbourne Stars Academy

 Thursday 6 October 

• 10am Richelieu Eagles (Namibia) vs Melbourne Renegades Academy
• 2pm Scotland vs Melbourne Stars Academy

 Saturday 8 October  

• 10am Richelieu Eagles (Namibia) vs Scotland 

Mayor Dean Rees said “This is an exciting opportunity for the people of Wangaratta, and I encourage community members to come along and witness this show-stopping competition. There will be food and drink available on site and some fast-paced action guaranteed.” 

The Rural City of Wangaratta is pleased to present this event with the support of the State Government of Victoria, Sports Marketing Australia, the City Colts Cricket Club, The Wangaratta & District Cricket Association and Edge FM/3NE.
