Today the Rural City of Wangaratta observes the National Day of Mourning.

Members of the public are invited to join one minute of silence at 7:01 PM, today - to honour those impacted by the Bondi Beach terrorist attack.

You can also choose to:

  • Spend time or a share a meal with friends and family of all faiths and backgrounds
  • Leave a candle on your doorstep or window as a symbol of remembrance, mourning and solidarity
  • Perform an act of kindness or Mitzvah (more info here www.nsw.gov.au/community-services/one-mitzvah-for-bondi)

We stand in solidarity with all those affected and we confirm our commitment to unity, peace, safety, and kindness in our community and across Australia.
