Ned Kelly Discovery Hub Celebrates Double Silver at 2025 Victorian Tou
Published on 28 November 2025
Last night, Glenrowan’s Ned Kelly Discovery Hub won two Silver Awards at the 2025 Victorian Tourism Awards, recognised in the Tourist Attractions and Cultural Tourism categories.
These accolades follow the Hub’s Bronze Award for Best New Tourism Business last year. Since opening in September 2023, it has received several awards for tourism and design, and is expected to welcome its 100,000th visitor in the coming week.
The Ned Kelly Discovery Hub offers an innovative experience that brings Ned Kelly’s story and the infamous siege to life through immersive storytelling, interactive technology, and striking architecture. The Hub features layered narratives, first-hand accounts, and diverse perspectives on one of Australia’s most debated historical figures.
Mayor Irene Grant said:
“I’ve been fortunate to watch the Ned Kelly Discovery Hub evolve from an idea to an award-winning tourism attraction. The Hub has established itself as a landmark in Glenrowan, and it’s fantastic to see it recognised again at the Victorian Tourism Awards just as we are about to welcome our 100,000th visitor.”
Ned Kelly Discovery Hub Visitor Services Team Leader, Manda Stevens, said:
“This recognition highlights the Visitor Services team’s hard work, made possible by the Council's support, especially from the Facilities, Outdoor, and Events teams. Together, we’ve developed a welcoming, award-winning facility. We thank the Glenrowan community for their support over the past two years and look forward to welcoming more visitors to the region.”
Local caravan park operator, Valley View Caravan Park in Whitfield, also received a Silver Award in the Caravan and Holiday Parks category. The three awards, along with our renowned food and wine offerings, showcase the incredible tourism experiences our region offers.
