Wangaratta Library is celebrating both Cultural Diversity Week and Harmony Day by inviting community members to share why they love their library—in their own language.

As part of the Love Your Library in Your Language campaign, our community is encouraged to write a message of love and appreciation for their local library. Visit Wangaratta Library, pick up a special postcard, and write a message in your preferred language.

These messages will be displayed throughout March, celebrating the many languages and cultures that make our community welcoming and inclusive.

This statewide campaign is a collaboration between Public Libraries Victoria and CAVAL, highlighting the important role libraries play in supporting learning, literacy, and connection for multicultural communities.

Completed postcards will also be sent to the Victorian Minister for Multicultural Affairs, helping to demonstrate the value of libraries to multicultural communities ahead of the State Budget in May.

Join in, share your love for your library, and be part of the celebration. You can also snap a photo of your postcard and share it on social media using #LoveYourLibrary.
