Wangaratta Library, in partnership with the Rural City of Wangaratta, announces the return of GeekCon, the region’s premier pop culture convention.

 

Funded by the Engage program through the State Government, GeekCon 2025 offers an afternoon of creativity and community spirit. If you're a seasoned cosplayer, a tabletop adventurer, a robotics enthusiast, or simply a fan of all things geeky, this event is for you.

 

“GeekCon is a celebration of creativity, fandom, and community,” said Tanya Hopper, Wangaratta Library Children’s and Youth Services Officer. “We’re proud to bring GeekCon to our region and provide a space where people of all ages can connect, express themselves, and have fun.”

 

GeekCon is open to all ages and entry is free, with no registration required.

 

Event Highlights include:

  • Cosplay Competition – Show off your costume skills and win prizes.
  • Level Up Gaming Zone – Console and VR gaming experiences.
  • Dungeons & Dragons Adventures – Dive into fantasy with live campaigns.
  • LARP Battles – Live-action roleplay for the brave and bold.
  • Comics & Graphic Novels – Discover new stories and meet creators.
  • Photo Booth Fun – Capture your geeky moments.
  • Stalls & Vendors – Shop for collectibles, art, and more.
