Expressions of Interest for Summer Events

The Rural City of Wangaratta invites local community groups, clubs, and organisers to submit an Expression of Interest for a range of summer opportunities, including: the 2025/26 Summer Program Event, 2025 New Year’s Eve Food & Beverage Vendor, and the 2026 Outdoor Ball Food & Beverage Vendor.

2025/26 Summer Program Event
If your event is scheduled between December 2025 and February 2026 you are invited to express interest in being part of a program of summer events. Whether you're hosting a one-off event, running a sports club, coordinating a regular hobby group, or organising a casual coffee catch-up, your activity is welcome for consideration.
The digital program will be hosted on Council’s website where it can be accessed by residents and visitors to the region. This is a fantastic opportunity to showcase the vibrant and diverse events happening across Wangaratta during the summer months.
Listing your event in the digital program is completely free. Additional paid advertising options are also available.
2025 New Year’s Eve Food & Beverage Vendor
Food and beverage vendors are invited to submit an expression of interest for the 2025 New Year’s Eve celebration at the Wangaratta Showgrounds. With over 10,000 attendees expected, this regionally significant event will feature live music, two fireworks displays, and a vibrant selection of food and drink offerings.
This is a fantastic opportunity to showcase your business to a large and enthusiastic crowd as we ring in the new year together.
2026 Outdoor Ball Food & Beverage Vendor
Expressions of interest are now open for vendors who wish to be part of the Outdoor Ball. This is a standout event on Wangaratta’s social calendar, set against the picturesque backdrop of Merriwa Park. This Latin-themed celebration draws over 1,200 guests to an evening of vibrant live music, energetic dancing, and a curated selection of food and beverages.
Public marketing for the event will commence in October, providing excellent exposure for participating businesses.
