Australian bestselling author Tess Woods will visit Wangaratta Library in September to discuss her latest novel, The Cairo Bridal Shop, with local readers.

Hosted in conversation with Liz Long from Edgars Books and News, the event will explore the inspiration behind The Cairo Bridal Shop, Woods' writing process and her career as a contemporary fiction author.

Woods is an Australian bestselling author and practising physiotherapist. Born in Alexandria to an Egyptian family, she drew on her heritage when writing The Cairo BridalShop, a novel inspired by the culture, family stories and place that shaped her early life.

The event will be held at Wangaratta Library, 21 Docker Street, on Thursday 10 September at 6.30pm. Bookings are essential
