Author Anne Freeman to discuss new novel at Wangaratta Library
Published on 24 September 2026
Australian author Anne Freeman will discuss her latest novel, The Time After Now, at Wangaratta Library on Friday 9 October at 2.30pm.
In conversation with Liz from Edgars Books & News, Freeman will speak about her writing journey, how personal experiences can shape fiction and the lasting effects of people’s digital lives.
The Time After Now moves between present-day suburbia and Melbourne’s post-millennium underground rave scene. It follows Olivia, whose carefully constructed life begins to unravel when intimate photographs from her past resurface after the sudden death of her first love.
The novel explores identity, memory, grief, and the long-term consequences of online footprints.
Freeman writes contemporary fiction about women navigating change and reshaping their futures. Her work combines humour and relatable characters with stories of friendship.
Wangaratta Library is presenting the event in partnership with Edgars Books & News. The event is open to readers, aspiring writers and people interested in contemporary Australian fiction.
