Wangaratta Library will launch its second Story Walk along Docker Street, featuring the beautiful story by visual artist Luke John Matthew Arnold, Save the Gum Trees, Bees and the Big Blue Seas; a colourful call to action to love the land and everything upon it. The Story Walk will align with Nature Book week, and combines gentle reading and physical activity by placing a picture book page by page along a public path. Participants follow the story at their own pace, stopping to read each page before moving on to the next. This Story Walk is suitable for families.

A StoryWalk® is an innovative, educational activity that places laminated pages from a children's book along a popular walking path, combining physical activity with literacy. Developed to promote reading, healthy lifestyles, and community engagement, it allows families to read a story page-by-page while walking.
The StoryWalk® project was created in 2007 by Anne Ferguson and developed in collaboration with the Kellogg-Hubbard Library. StoryWalk® now exists across the U.S. and worldwide.
