STAND: Speak. Take Action. Notice. Disrupt.
A free community workshop presented by Centre Against Violence and Zonta Albury-Wodonga
Everyone deserves to feel safe, respected, and supported, and creating that kind of community takes all of us.
STAND is an interactive community workshop designed to build confidence, connection, and practical skills to help prevent harm before it escalates.
Together, we will explore:
- How to recognise early warning signs of harmful behaviours
- Ways to respond safely and confidently
- How everyday actions can help create safer, stronger communities
Through guided discussion, scenarios, and interactive activities, participants will gain realistic, practical strategies that can be used in everyday life.
This is a welcoming and engaging session focused on collective action, community connection, and building a culture of respect.
Whether you are a community member, volunteer, parent, worker, leader, or simply someone who wants to help create positive change, this workshop is for you.
Afternoon tea provided.
Recommended for ages 16+
Please note this workshop may include discussion of challenging topics relating to harmful behaviour, safety, and violence prevention.
Be part of the conversation. Build confidence. Help create safer communities.
