Economic Development Coordinator

$80,334.80 p/a + superannuation

The Rural City of Wangaratta’s Economic Development Unit is responsible for investment attraction and business growth throughout the municipality.

The role of Economic Development Coordinator will fulfil both a key strategic and operations role within the Economic Development Unit. Facilitating investment attraction and business development in all business and industry sectors by proactively engaging with industry groups to facilitate their growth, development and diversification.

The successful candidate will have a tertiary qualification in business, marketing or a like area or previous practical experience in the commercial sector. An understanding of local government’s role in facilitating the further development of a regional economy is also essential.

IT Support Officer

$56,378.40 p/a + super

Are you a skilled and motivated IT professional? Do you have experience in supporting desktop, server and network systems?

We have an exciting opening for an IT Support Officer looking to advance their career in or join local government.  The IT support officer will be responsible for providing 1st and 2nd line business support to users including hardware, software and telecommunications issues.

Key areas of responsibility for this this position include:

  • Level 2 support and escalation to level 3 support where required
  • IT equipment purchasing, leasing and evaluation
  • Printer and telecommunications management
