The Rural City of Wangaratta Youth Council will host the Wangaratta Sport & Recreation Expo on Saturday 17 August at the Wangaratta Sports and Aquatic Centre Event Precinct.
The Wangaratta Sport & Recreation Expo provides a valuable opportunity for young people to engage with local clubs and organisations, and to learn more about what’s available in their community.
Now in its second year, the event builds on the success of last year’s Expo, which attracted more than 300 attendees. The 2025 Expo will feature over 20 stallholders, including local clubs, leagues, and organisations showcasing their programs in both outdoor and indoor spaces. The Wangaratta Sports and Aquatic Centre will also be highlighted, with several clubs using the indoor facilities for demonstrations.
Activities on the day include:
Youth Councillor Edward Browne
“The 2025 Expo is going to be great, we have many different and diverse opportunities for people to come and try as well as some more of the mainstream attractions, this event has been planned by young people, and it has been designed for young people.”
