Free workshop to help small businesses improve cash flow in Wangaratta
Published on 14 April 2026
Small business owners in Wangaratta can access a free, practical workshop designed to help them better manage their cash flow later this month. The Rural City of Wangaratta, in partnership with Business Victoria, will host the session on Thursday 23 April from 6pm to 8pm at the Wangaratta Library Community Room.
Participants will learn the difference between profit and cash, how to track the cash conversion cycle, manage supplier payments and improve customer collections. The session will also cover how marketing and stock control can support cash flow, and participants will develop a simple cash flow forecast to help anticipate future needs.
Cash flow is a common pressure point for small businesses and is often overshadowed by daily operations. The workshop will explain how money moves through a business and outline practical steps owners can take to improve stability and plan with greater confidence.
Manager Economic Development Celeste Brockwell said the workshop responds to ongoing conversations with local business owners.
“Many small business owners are working hard but still feel unsure about their cash position. This workshop breaks it down in a practical way and gives people useful tools they can apply straight away.”
The workshop is run by Business Victoria and is open to small business owners and new entrepreneurs. Attendance is free, but registration is required.
