Free Parking and Twilight Shopping celebrating Christmas in Wangaratta

The Rural City of Wangaratta announces the return of free parking in the CBD during the festive season. From Monday 15 December 2025 to Friday 9 January 2026, residents and visitors can enjoy complimentary parking while shopping locally. Shoppers are reminded that time limits apply.

Cr. Irene Grant, Mayor Rural City of Wangaratta: “This annual tradition is an important way to encourage people to shop local and support Wangaratta’s business community.”

Adding to the Christmas celebrations, Wangaratta will host a Twilight Shopping Night on Thursday, 18 December from 5pm. The event will feature live buskers throughout the CBD, and participating businesses will open late (individual store hours may vary), creating the perfect opportunity to find those last-minute gifts.
