The Caring and Ageing Well Festival will take place on Wednesday 15 October, from 10am to 1pm at the Wangaratta Performing Arts & Convention Centre.

This free community event will highlight a wide range of products and services that support positive ageing and healthy lifestyle choices. Attendees will have the opportunity to speak directly with stallholders about how to stay active, connected, and supported as they age.

The festival is designed to benefit older residents, their families, and carers by providing information on physical and mental health, social engagement, and safe living environments. It also coincides with National Carers Week and will include resources for carers on maintaining wellbeing, staying engaged in the workforce, and accessing community support.

Exhibitors include Country Care Group, Cycling Without Age, Deborah Hawthorne Consultancy – Medication Review Pharmacist, Elders Rights Advocacy, Gateway Health, Independent Living Specialists, U3A, Vision Australia, Wangaratta Woodworkers Inc., and more.

Cr. Harvey Benton, Acting Mayor said:
"The Caring and Ageing Well Festival is a chance to connect with services that support healthy, active ageing, and ensure that carers feel recognised and supported in their vital roles."
