Old School Night Out - Bringing Communities Together, One Hall at a Time

The Old School Night Out is back for 2025, and it’s set to be more than just a night of music, it’s about celebrating local halls and the communities that bring them to life.

This year’s tour will see the much-loved local band Sweet Buzz travel across four townships, filling halls with songs, dancing, and laughter. Supported by their local hall committees, each event will showcase the warmth, hospitality, and community spirit that make these small towns so special.

2025 Tour Dates

- Myrrhee Hall – Friday, September 5

- Tarrawingee Hall – Friday, October 10

- Moyhu Soldiers Memorial Hall – Saturday, October 25

- Everton Hall – Friday, November 28

In 2024, the Old School Night Out brought people together in Springhurst, Edi Upper, Eldorado, and Bobinawarrah. Neighbours, friends, and families shared food, stories, and the dance floor, reminding us of the simple power of coming together in a local hall.

“These events are about more than entertainment, they’re about connection,” said Bek Nash-Webster, Grit and Resilience Program Coordinator. “Each hall has its own story, and when people gather in them, they strengthen the ties that keep communities resilient and vibrant.”

The 2025 tour promises another season of connection and celebration, with live music, home-cooked suppers, and the joy of neighbours and visitors coming together under one roof.
