WSAC’s Basketball Stadium Opens
The brand-new WSAC Stadium will officially open its doors to the public on Saturday, 18 January, and everyone is invited to join the celebration. The free event will feature interactive sports, skills challenges, and fun activities for all ages.
“This exciting community day promises something for everyone, with a fantastic range of activities designed to showcase our state-of-the-art facilities. From kids to seniors, families to sports enthusiasts, there will be many opportunities to experience the stadium first-hand.” Leon Newton, Manager - Sports, Aquatics & Events Precinct.
“This is a significant milestone for our community,” said Irene Grant Mayor, Rural City of Wangaratta. “The WSAC Stadium is more than just a sports venue; it’s a place for people to connect, get active, and enjoy the variety of sports our region has to offer.”

Additional stall holders and staff will be on hand to discuss sports available in Wangaratta and assist with queries including our Learn to Swim program, and child safety and wellbeing.
