Notice of Intention to Purchase Land

In accordance with Section 112 of the Local Government Act (2020), Rural City of Wangaratta wishes to give notice of its intention to purchase part of the land at 21 Frascas Lane Myrrhee, being part of the land described in Certificate of Title, being Crown Allotment 17, Parish of Whitfield, Vol. 11557 Fol. 656 and shown on the map below.

The proposed acquisition seeks to resolve the issue of a Municipal Road encroaching into privately owned land and effectively creating an orphan parcel of land between the road as constructed and the existing road reserve. The purchase will also remove a potential impediment to any future upgrade of the Benalla Whitfield Road.

All submissions must be received 5pm on Friday 02 August 2024.

All submissions must explain why the land acquisition is opposed or supported.

All submissions must be considered in our decision about whether to proceed with this land acquisition. Rural City of Wangaratta will inform you of the outcome of this consultation.
