Planning Scheme Review

The Strategic Planning team are currently undertaking a Planning Scheme Review which is a statutory obligation of the Planning and Environment Act 1987 and undertaken every four years.

Typically, it's like a 'health check' to make sure the scheme is still in working order and up to date. It is expected that some minor changes will result from the review, to keep the Wangaratta Planning Scheme relevant and up to date with evolving state policy which may include an anomalies amendment to facilitate these changes to local policy and correct any errors evident in the scheme. Any policy gaps will be assessed and feed into the priority strategic work program for the next four years, and beyond.
