North East Roller Derby

North East Roller Derby was founded in 2011 and is based in Oxley. Our club offers a fun and inclusive alternative to the traditional weekend sports. We encourage every body type and fitness level to give skating a go, no previous experience needed! We pride ourselves on offering a safe environment to try something new, from beginner skater all the way up to hard hitting, full-contact derby players. 

Roller derby is a full contact sport played on quad skates; two teams compete in short matchups (jams) where a designated point scorer (jammer) must pass players from the opposite team while skating around a track. The teams aim to hinder the opposing jammer while also assisting their own to get through first.
