Wangaratta App-Only Paid Parking Update
Published on 27 May 2025
The Rural City of Wangaratta is reminding drivers that the city has transitioned to App-only paid parking in the Wangaratta CBD. Drivers will notice changes in the coming weeks, including the removal of parking machines and updated parking signage throughout the CBD.
To assist with the transition, Council has developed a website page with step-by-step instructions on how to use the Easy Park App. In addition, EasyPark representatives will be available at the Community Kiosk on Reid Street for selected days over the next month.
Council Rangers will be available to offer support on the street - providing assistance with downloading and using the app, which can be used in multiple locations throughout Australia, not just Wangaratta.
Paid parking is required Monday to Friday from 8:30am to 5:00pm. Parking is free on Saturday and Sunday.
All parking in the CBD is to be paid using the EasyPark App, however, if individuals are not able to access the App, they can purchase a monthly or yearly CBD parking voucher. These are available from Council’s Planning & Building counter and are linked to one vehicle registration number.
These vouchers apply to timed CBD parking areas but exclude the Co-Store carpark. Easy Park can be used in the Co-Store carpark, but the vouchers cannot as it operates independently from council-managed parking.
“Residents, workers, and visitors are encouraged to familiarise themselves with the EasyPark system or to purchase a CBD Parking voucher to avoid fines. There are a variety of paid and free parking options throughout the CBD precinct from 1hr to all day parking.” Stephen Swart, Director Sustainability & Culture
