Council is seeking feedback on its draft Domestic Animal Management Plan 2021 – 2025.

The Domestic Animal Management Plan details how council will provide services and programs to manage domestic cats and dogs in the municipality for the next 4 years. It has been prepared in accordance with Domestic Animals Act 1994.  The plan creates a framework for the planning, development and evaluation of Council’s animal management services within the municipality.

Submissions are invited on the Draft Domestic Animal Management Plan 2021 – 2025 and must be received by 5pm Friday 26 November 2021

Where do I view the draft plan?

A copy of the draft plan can be downloaded via the link in the 'Related Information' at the bottom of this webpage.
Copies of documents on public exhibition can also be obtained from the Wangaratta Government Centre.

How do I make my written submission?

Any person affected by the proposals may make a written submission relating to the draft documents. Submissions will be received up to 5.00pm on Friday 26 November 2021.

In their written submission, a person may also request to be heard by a Committee of Council in support of their submission, prior to Council considering the proposal. Submitters will be notified before the relevant meeting date.
