Manager Customer, Digital & Transformation Services

Full Time; Salary Negotiable

In this Management role you will drive the strategic direction and oversee the delivery of Council’s customer, digital and transformation services, ensuring that the operations of Council are supported now and into the future. You will support the organisation on this journey and develop your team as a centre of excellence for customer-led design and change.

This position is based in the Wangaratta – recently assessed by CoreLogic as the top tree-change destination in Victoria – thanks to its proximity to gourmet food, world-class wineries, stunning scenery, fabulous outdoor activities and some fantastic social events such as the Wangaratta Festival of Jazz & Blues. You won’t find a traffic jam in sight.

Early Childhood Educator

Full Time – Level 2 (Certificate III)
$54,392 per annum plus super

We invite applications from suitably qualified Early Childhood Educators to join our team on a permanent full time basis.  This position involves providing a children’s program and educational practice that is stimulating, engaging and enhances the learning and development of all children, ranging in age from 0 to 6 years, attending our long day child care centre and kindergarten.

You will be required to have an approved Certificate III qualification, as per the requirements of the Education and Care Services National Regulations and ideally, you will have experience working in centre based child care.  You will also need a sound knowledge of the Victorian Early Years Learning and Development Framework or the Early Years Learning Framework, and the National Quality Framework, along with excellent communication skills and the ability to work cooperatively and effectively as part of a team.

Public Facility Cleaner

Casual
Band 2 - $32.89 p/h
(includes casual loading)

The Rural City of Wangaratta are looking for friendly people with cleaning experience to join their Public Facility Cleaning Team on a casual basis. Your ability to perform cleaning duties in an effort to ensure standards are met and amenities are kept neat, clean and tidy are essential.

Your duties will include cleaning toilets, BBQ’s and public areas. You will be required to work over the weekend and to backfill for periods during the week when full time staff are on leave.

Asset Engineer

Full Time Temporary
$41.88 per hour

Council is seeking an enthusiastic and suitably qualified and experienced Asset Engineer to backfill a role until 31 October 2019.  The role will assume responsibility for the development and planning of the 2019-2020 asset renewal programme, and will assist with asset capitalisation and asset revaluation during the 2018-2019 year. 

This position will be involved in continuing to develop and maintain asset information systems, renewal and maintenance programmes, and will provide technical support for prioritisation, planning and delivery of asset renewal strategies. 

The successful candidate will ideally have a degree in Civil Engineering, however candidates with other relevant engineering or technical experience will be considered. Sound interpersonal, communication and time management skills along with a current driver’s licence are also required.

Community Compliance Officer (2 positions available)

Full Time Temporary
18 month contract
$58,458.40 pa + super

Part Time Permanent
3x days per week
$29.58 p/h + super

We are currently seeking to appoint a two Community Compliance Officer (1x full time temporary, 1x part time permanent).  The roles involve the compliance of local laws, traffic and parking, supervision of school crossings and animal control responsibilities of Council together with airport monitoring.

The successful applicants will have experience in animal and stock handling and knowledge of traffic and parking regulations. Strong communication skills will be essential together with an ability to undertake routine repairs to parking meters.

The positions require the successful candidates to participate in an after-hours on-call roster and to hold a current drivers licence and Working With Children Check.

Maternal Child Health Nurse

Casual Position

Rural City of Wangaratta is seeking dedicated nursing professionals who enjoy working with young children and families to provide maternal and child health services in various locations across the municipality.

The position requires current registration with the Nursing Midwifery Board of Australia as both a registered nurse and a registered midwife and to also hold recognised qualifications in maternal and child health nursing (or pre 1998 equivalent), current driver’s licence and Working with Children Check.

The successful applicant must have an understanding of providing services within the current Local Government environment and share the MCH team’s commitment to delivering quality health and wellbeing services to families and children. 

Salary is in accordance with the Nurses and Midwives (Victorian Public Sector) (Single Interest Employers) Enterprise Agreement 2016–2021.
