Acting Director Corporate Services

3 month contract
Attractive remuneration package

The Rural City of Wangaratta is seeking to appoint an experienced Director Corporate Services with the vision to deliver against our Community Promise and Council Plan.  You will be responsible for providing leadership in customer service, finance, information services, media, communications, people and governance.

Your outstanding communication skills will ensure you develop positive working relationships with Council, the community, staff and other stakeholders.  You will have finance or business management qualifications, together with experience at director level and within local government.

Senior Technical Offier

Full Time Temporary 12 month position
$72,306pa + super

The Technical Services team has a 12 month backfill position available which will provide a great opportunity for gaining experience in the field of civil engineering design, investigation and referrals. 

We are seeking someone who can respond and investigate customer requests regarding engineering matters, prepare and assist with designs for infrastructure projects, provide a point of internal reference for legal points of discharge and traffic management plans, collect traffic count data and respond to works in road reserve permits.

The successful applicant will have well-developed investigation skills, strong attention to detail and be willing to learn about civil engineering practise. Applicants who may not have experience in all of the key responsibilities of the position are encouraged to apply. A current driver’s licence is essential.

Maternal Child Health Nurse

Casual Position

Rural City of Wangaratta is seeking dedicated nursing professionals who enjoy working with young children and families to provide maternal and child health services in various locations across the municipality.

The position requires current registration with the Nursing Midwifery Board of Australia as both a registered nurse and a registered midwife and to also hold recognised qualifications in maternal and child health nursing (or pre 1998 equivalent), current driver’s licence and Working with Children Check.

The successful applicant must have an understanding of providing services within the current Local Government environment and share the MCH team’s commitment to delivering quality health and wellbeing services to families and children. 

Salary is in accordance with the Nurses and Midwives (Victorian Public Sector) (Single Interest Employers) Enterprise Agreement 2016–2021.
