Senior Environmental Health Officer

Full Time
Band 7 $85,264 – $94,227pa + super

The Rural City of Wangaratta is a proactive and progressive organisation with a focus on supporting its staff and taking care of its customers. Being one of Victoria’s most geographically diverse and scenic regions, The Rural City of Wangaratta offers a blend of city and country life, surrounded by welcoming villages, native bushland, pastoral landscapes and snow-capped peaks. The towns of Beechworth and Bright are on your doorstep along with the King Valley wind region.  Council offices are centrally located within the Wangaratta CBD and our Municipality is well services with great schools, Healthcare services, shops, recreational & entertainment and events.  

We are looking for a Senior Environmental Health Officer who can make a contribution to our fast growing municipality.  We have 380 premises, 12 caravan parks and rural areas that require wastewater provision, this is an ideal opportunity to build on your existing knowledge of environmental health and gain insights into new areas.  It’s a chance to come and work for an organisation that is an employer of choice.  We have a great team environment and can offer flexible working, a friendly and supportive atmosphere and the opportunity to use your skills not only in environmental health but on organisational changes that will see us continuously improve to support and develop our staff and work with the community.

Our Senior Environmental Health Officer will have 5 years plus experience dealing with a variety of environmental health matters.  The Environmental Health Officer will report directly to you but you will be supported by our Coordinator of Community Compliance.
