See below for a list of current roadworks taking place around the municipality.
Over the next 12 months we will have rolling impacts across a number of streets - the 3 for the works Cusack, Norton, and Docker Streets. We will also have impacts on traffic movements on Ovens, Baker and Mackay Streets

From Tuesday 28 January - Friday 14 February the west bound lane on Cusack Street will be closed. Once this work is complete the east bound lane will be closed for a three week period.
Mackay Street is closed at Cusack Street.
There are minor delays in the area with alternate routes in place. There is a speed restriction to 40 km/hr and there is signage and traffic management in place.
Works to Norton street have begun and will be in progress for the next 5 months. Traffic controllers will be in place initially with a one lane closure at the intersection of Docker and Mackay Streets. Travel will still be open towards the CBD. Motorists heading away from the CBD are advised to use Ovens Street and Roy Street to access the overpass.
We wish to advise that access to Sisely Avenue at Frank Hayes Drive and Swan Street will be closed until works are complete. Works are scheduled to be completed by the end of March. Traffic management and detours will be in place during this period.
Upgrade of the existing intersection including: removal of poor sub base material, reconstruction of road pavement, median strip and signage upgrades and line marking will commence mid February 2020 and will last for approximately 12-14 weeks depending on weather.
The road will remain open where possible however a full road closure at the intersection will be required at times. There will be alternative routes during this time with signage and traffic management in place.
Drainage Renewal works along Cusack Street and Spearing Street will be taking place for a 16 week period beginning 23 March 2020. Works will include the installation of large diameter pipes and formalising of sections of kerb and car parking.
Sections of road will be closed at Cusack and Spearing Streets for the duration of the works whilst Green Street will have partial road closures at times.
Traffic management will be in place throughout all works in conjunction with approved traffic management plans.
A new footpath is being constructed on the northern side of Langlands Street from Appin Street to Cavanagh Street. 40km speed restriction and workman signage is in place but no delays are expected.
The Rutherglen Springhust Road will be closed at the railway crossing due to Railway upgrade works. Detours will be in place during the scheduled works
