Public Art Acquisitions Panel
Community-minded artists and professionals are being sought to drive an exciting new era in public art across the Rural City of Wangaratta.
Rural City of Wangaratta is committing to a number of exciting new Public Art Commissions that will align with major infrastructure projects over the next two years. In following with the Rural City of Wangaratta Public Art Policy, Council are now calling for nominations from residents within the Rural City of Wangaratta and within the North East Region for appointment to the Rural City of Wangaratta Public Acquisitions Panel. The Panel will assist in the deliberation and consideration of works of public art projects to be added to the Rural City’s Permanent Public Art Collection.
Membership of the Panel is to be made up of professional practicing artists, visual arts professionals who have a demonstrated knowledge of visual arts and public art delivery, and individuals with either architectural or landscape architectural design qualifications and or background.
Nominations of members will be selected on relevant and extensive experience, knowledge and qualifications relating to the delivery and practice of the visual art medium of sculpture, public art or similar project delivery background. Three panel members are required to fill places available. Tenure of the panel is continued untilcompletion of the commissions.

Nominations close on Friday October 4, 2019 at 5.00pm. Applications may be delivered to the Customer Service counter at Wangaratta Government Centre or posted to the Gallery Director, PO Box 238 Wangaratta 3676.
Nominees will be contacted in mid-October 2019.
