The Wangaratta Library is packed to the brim with activities this 2018/19 summer for primary school aged children and young adults; storytime sessions, book club, crafts and more!

For the Youth

Story Time Sessions

Story Time is a chance for you to sit back and enjoy a fun, free activity with your children. Together we read stories, sing songs and have craft activities that are specially designed for our youngest visitors.   These sessions are a way to meet other mums, dads and grandparent and they're free! Everyone is welcome to come along and enjoy the experience. We offer a range of events aimed at various ages.

Toddler Tales for 1-3 year olds: Monday at 11am

Pre-school Story Time: Tuesday and Friday at 10.30am

Rhyme Time for Mums and babies up to 12months old: Thursday at 11.30am

Summer Reading Club

Discover a new world with curious creatures!  Explore and connect at your library with chances to win prizes during our free Summer Reading Club from 1 December 2018 to 31 January 2019.  Visit the library or sign up through the link below.

Regular Programs

Lego Club – second Saturday of the month 10.30am

AWOL (Anime group) – last Wednesday of the month 5pm

Dungeons and Dragons – second Wednesday of the month 5pm

For the Adults

Book Chat

When: Monday 8 January

Time: 1:30pm

If you enjoy a good read and friendly conversation, drop into the Wangaratta Library for our monthly book chat. Unlike other book clubs, there is no set book to read or cost involved.

Time: 3pm

Reading is good for the soul, so ask us about joining the latest book club in town which is free!

Sit, Knit and Crochet

When: Every Thursday 

Time: 3pm - 5pm

Craft and Sew On

When: Every second Wednesday

Time: 3pm - 5pm

Write On

When: Second Wednesday of the month

Time: 6pm - 7:45pm
