Australia Day is a fantastic opportunity for all citizens of all backgrounds to come together to celebrate what we love about our country and what it means to be Australian. Taking part in this community celebration allows us to reflect on how lucky we are to live in a country as wonderful as Australia.

Wangaratta Celebrations

When: Saturday 26 January 2019

Time: 8am - 11am

Venue: King George V Gardens

In Wangaratta, the official proceedings will commence at 8.00am. Local Australia Day Awards will be presented to the Rural City of Wangaratta’s Citizen of the Year, Young Citizen of the Year and Community Event of the Year. The Citizen of the year will also have the honour of having their handprint carved into the Marmungun Rock during National Reconciliation Week.
