School's Tree Day

Schools Tree Day

Our annual Schools Tree Day planting event, where students are given the opportunity for hands on learning about the importance of bush regeneration to improve biodiversity, will not be going ahead as planned this year due to Covid-19 restrictions.

Instead we have provided local schools with almost 1000 indigenous shrubs and grasses that will attract native birds and beneficial insects and improve the habitat at their schools.

Council has also developed an educational video for students and members of the public interest in planting native trees.
