Join the Party on New Year's Eve
It’s time to bring in the new year with a BANG! Come and join us on Tuesday 31 December at Apex Park to celebrate the end of a fantastic year.
There will be children’s activities, live music, a moonlight movie and spectacular fireworks at this family-friendly event.
Young local country musician Dan Henwood who last year spent a week in Tamworth as part of the CMAA Academy of Country Music Junior course will be the opening act.
Revelers can dance along to the musical stylings of the wonderfully talented locals Scott and Amanda and the Junk Male Band, who will take to the stage at 7pm. If you’re not much of a night owl, the early fireworks at 9:15pm are for you. How to Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World will be flying onto the big screen at 9:30pm for everyone to enjoy. Then let the countdown begin as we celebrate the New Year with our midnight fireworks.
Mayor Dean Rees said, “New Year’s Eve is a terrific event for families and friends to bring a picnic or purchase food by one of the local food vendors, enjoy live music and come together to celebrate as a community,” he said.
“It's a wonderful sight to watch so many of our community come together to enjoy the fireworks display and welcome in the New Year”.
The celebrations will kick off at 6pm so bring your picnic blankets and chairs, cozy up with your loved ones and be prepared for an amazing night of family fun.
