National Tree Day
Green thumbs at the ready, it’s your chance to give back to our natural environment at this year’s National Tree Day celebrations.
In conjunction with Planet Ark’s event, Council’s Natural Resource Management Team is hosting a community tree planting day!
The event is a great opportunity for people to learn more about the importance of bush regeneration and come together to plant a diverse range of indigenous trees, shrubs and grasses. In particular, this year’s event aims to provide habitat for native animals including sugar gliders, squirrel gliders and barking owls.
Plants will be provided, with the holes dug and ready for people to plant into. Free lunch will be provided for all participants.
When: Sunday 29 July 2018 from 10am - 1pm.
Where: Eastern bank of Three Mile Creek behind the GOTAFE Regional Study Centre, Tone Road Wangaratta (enter via the Tone Road GOTAFE entrance).
What do I need to bring? Warm waterproof clothing, sturdy footwear, gloves and water bottle.
How do I sign up? Through the link below!
