Draft Wangaratta Car Parking Plan

Wangaratta Car Parking Plan – Getting The Balance Right For Our Community details a number of priority actions in relation to the supply of car parking in Wangaratta, describes some recent work that has been completed to understand Wangaratta’s parking situation, and outlines some key principles that will be carried forward in relation to parking management.

Any person wishing to make a submission must do so in writing by 1 February 2019.

Draft Wangaratta Urban Design Framework

Submissions are invited to the Draft Wangaratta Urban Design Framework (UDF).

Specifically the draft UDF for Wangaratta seeks to:

• Enable the high level strategic aspirations of the CAA framework Plan (CBD Masterplan) to be implemented in detail.

• Consider a broad range of key CBD issues include future land uses, economic opportunities, activation, heritage values, sustainable infrastructure, streetscapes, public space improvements, place making opportunities, integrated transport planning, access, circulation and parking and community infrastructure.

• Provide a clear course of action for delivery of capital works, advocacy and planning scheme recommendations.

• Draft planning scheme policies and controls which consider the most appropriate mechanisms for implementing key recommendations from the issues and opportunities analysis. 

Submissions will be received up until Friday, 14 December 2018.

Draft Background Report Moyhu Township Development Plan

Submit your comments on the Draft Background Report for the Moyhu Township Development Plan

The Council is preparing a Township Development Plan for Moyhu. As part of the process, and the Strategic Planning Team is seeking community feedback on the Draft Background Report. The team is holding a drop-in session on Thursday 29 November 2018 – 3.00pm to 6.00pm at the Moyhu Soldiers Memorial Hall, 24-26 Bartley Street, Moyhu so that the community can ask questions about the TDP and provide us with input and additional information for the draft Background Report.

Written submissions can be made until 30 December 2018.

How do I make a written submission?

In their written submission, a person may also request to be heard by a Committee of Council in support of their submission, prior to Council considering the proposal. Submitters will be notified before the relevant meeting date.

By Email: council@wangaratta.vic.gov.au. Please include “The title of the proposal or document” in the subject line.

By Mail: PO Box 238, Wangaratta VIC 3676. Please include “The title of the proposal or document” as the reference.

In Person: You may submit your written submission to Customer Services, Wangaratta Government Centre – Corner Ford and Ovens Street, Wangaratta. Please include “The title of the proposal or document” as the reference to your submission.

Submissions will be treated as public documents, with your name and details of your submissions to be made public unless you choose to opt out. Please fill in the form below if you would like your submission kept private.

 

 

Expressions of Interest

Major and Community Event Signs 2019

Council is seeking expressions of interest from local not-for-profit organisations for use of the Major and Community Event Signs located on the Tone Road and Parfitt Road entrances to Wangaratta, to advertise major events being held in 2019.

Signs must conform to Council’s specifications and event organisers will be required to meet the cost of sign-writing.

Expressions of interest need to be lodged on the appropriate form and returned to council@wangaratta.vic.gov.au, or PO Box 238 Wangaratta by 5pm, Friday 30 November.
