About Councillor Ashlee Fitzpatrick
Ashlee Fitzpatrick was elected to the City Ward of the Rural City of Wangaratta following a re-count in 2017.
Ashlee is 20 years old and elected at the age of 19 making her the youngest person to join Wangaratta Council in the city’s history and youngest councillor in Victoria.
Wangaratta born and bred, Ashlee attended Wangaratta West Primary School and then to Wangaratta High School where she was a Prefect during her VCE.
Ashlee was former Wangaratta youth mayor of the youth council of Wangaratta in 2015/16.
She is currently completing Alipne Valleys Community Leadership Program and is involved in community groups including Relay for Life and Zonta.
She believes local government is all about the people and she wants to make sure there’s plenty of communication between the council and the community. The reason Ashlee ran for council was for the need of diversity of gender, age and ideas.
Ashlee is President of the Wangaratta Parents and Friends association, and active on various different committees.
