With the opening of the new Beaconsfield Parade bridge in Glenrowan, Siege Street has become a permanent ‘no through road’. Works continue to complete the construction of the local roads and connecting footpaths around the works area. Pedestrians can use the new bridge shared user path and temporary pedestrian pathway along Siege Street.
Green Street bridge will close from 8 January 2024 for approximatelysix months until Inland Rail works are safely completed.
Road works at Wangaratta-Kilfeera Road and Soldiers Lane to commence 1 April 2024. Sealing the intersection with asphalt, installing traffic control devices, shoulder widening and formalising the open table drain on one side of Soldiers Lane.Traffic management and speed reduction signage will be in place during construction.Expect minor traffic delays during this time.
Road works will be conducted at the intersection of Perry Street and Ryan Avenue to commence 1 April 2024. Widening the intersection, constructing new asphalt seal, and installing two new traffic islands, as well as realigning the footpaths in the area. Traffic management and speed reduction signage will be in place during construction.Expect minor traffic delays during this time.
PARTIAL ROAD CLOSURECHRISTENSEN LANE, WANGARATTA between Fantail Way and Thurles Avenue will have one lane closed between,Monday 8 April 2024 to Friday 7 June 2024.To enable road works to be undertaken.The single lane closure will be managed by traffic lights and associated signage.For further details contact: projects@juddandsons.com.au or call 0427 411 862.
Traffic Management will be in place on the Taminick Gap Road, during a planned burn on Glenrowan Ridge Track on Friday 12 April at the earliest.
Road works to commence in Shanley Street on Monday 15 April to install a storm water tap across the road and the installation of curb and channel. During this time half the road will be closed and traffic management will be in place.Completion date will be Friday 26 April 2024.
Construction of kerb & channel and road reconstruction works will commence Monday 29th of April.McCall Lane will be closed to traffic and detours in place for the duration of reconstruction works.It is anticipated that works will be completed within 8 weeks.
Installation of solar lighting bollards beside existing shared path will commence Monday 13 May.Works are from Wangaratta-Whitfield Road/Snow Road roundabout to Milawa. Traffic management signage, speed reductions and traffic controllers will be in place during installation of bollards.Completion of installation of Solar lighting bollards 31st of May.
Road works in Worland Road on Wednesday 24 April. A single lane closure will be managed by traffic management signage, speed reduction and traffic controllers will be in place throughout the day.Completion of the roadwork will be done by the end of the day.
